To help the Trust focus on the delivery of our vision, mission and values we have developed five Corporate Themes (CT) which run through everything we do:
CT1. Delivering our promises
CT2. Developing our people
CT3. Developing our business and innovation
CT4. Putting customers first
CT5. Improving our communication and information
These are the basis upon which we allocate resources and they are integral to our core values.
As a major player in the regeneration of Halton we play a significant role in the borough’s local strategic partnership. We contribute to local initiatives on homelessness, crime and disorder, health and employment.
Our Corporate Themes identify our priorities in these areas. We make sure they are consistent with local community priorities, sustainable and contribute to the Neighbourhood Management pilot schemes.
The number of homes we manage is falling. More and more customers are buying their homes through the Preserved Right to Buy, we have demolished some properties which are no longer viable and converted a number of flats in to family homes.
This has left us with a number of challenges. We now need to be more creative in seeking opportunities which allow the Trust to make best use of the land we own, our financial strength and track record to help us build new homes.
The Trust has a key role to play in the development of a housing strategy for Halton and in meeting future demand for new homes. As we move forward in to the next phase of our development, we will look at opportunities for growth.
Following an organisation-wide review of how we do things, we have created capacity to develop new initiatives.
