We have a Welfare Benefits Support Service that offers free benefit and money advice to all Trust customers. We offer advice on benefits and money management along with identifying and signposting customer to a whole range of advice and support services that could benefit the household. 
 
The service operates both telephone; email and face to face services to allow maximum availability for our customers.  We try and ensure you maximise your income through benefit uptake and through efficient budgeting to allow you to make the most of the income you receive, through money saving advice and tips, including energy efficiency etc.
 
The aim of the service is to ensure our customers have the ability to maximise their income and ensure they have the knowledge to effectively manage their money to sustain their tenancies.
 
Halton Housing Trust offers the following services to all our customers:

Benefit Advice

Entitled to - this is an online based benefit calculator that is a useful tool to check your receiving your full entitlement.

Department of Work & Pensions - useful site that gives a information about eligibility and rates of payment, including how to claim, for most benefits.

Halton Borough Council - provided details of the housing and council tax benefits system as well as information about free school meals and school transport assistance etc.

Citizens Advice Bureau - provides information about benefits and debts as well as information on your rights and regulations.

Age Concern - provides a great deal of information for pensioners and their carers – including benefit advice; pension checkers etc.
 
Debt

The following links offer free advice and information on debt to anyone who is struggling with their financial commitments, they can also provide assistance with IVA’s and Bankruptcy etc.
