From Monday 7th November 2011 the appointments process to applying for housing with Halton Housing Trust will be suspended as the team prepares for the implementation of the Merseyside Sub Regional Choice Based Lettings Scheme – Property Pool Plus which will go live in Summer of 2012.
The Trust will administer the scheme on behalf of partners in Halton. Details of stakeholder events will be circulated to you over the next couple of weeks.
The Housing Options Team will continue to accept applications through the post or via telephone request from customers and these will be either sent out for completion, downloaded from the website or where a vulnerability has been identified these customers will continue to be interviewed, visited at home, at HHT offices or in conjunction with support agencies. Likewise if any customer feels they need to be visited or interviewed we will do this at their request.
Customers will still be required to forward proof of ID and address for verification per the attached information advice note. If an application is sent to the Trust without any supporting documentation, these will be returned to the customer.
