Time running out to nominate a good neighbour
NOMINATIONS for a competition that will reward Runcorn and Widnes’ good neighbours have to be in by 20th January.
Halton Housing Trust’s Good Neighbour Awards celebrate the achievements of community heroes who make a difference in their area.
“This is the final opportunity for people to nominate those in our communities who really stand out,” said Hazel Lea, the Trust’s Legal Support Officer.
“We are urging people not to miss out on nominating someone who has made a real contribution to life in Runcorn and Widnes.”
Halton Housing Trust owns and manages more than 6,100 homes around Runcorn and Widnes and nominees must be one of the Trust’s customers.
The Good Neighbour Award will be given to someone who has demonstrated selfless qualities in supporting and helping others in the community.
Other categories will honour outstanding voluntary work, achievements by a person under 21 and a customer who has made a positive stand against anti-social behaviour.
All winners will receive £100 and nomination forms must be handed in by Friday 20th January. They are available from any Halton Housing Trust office, by calling 0151 510 5036 or emailing hazel.lea@haltonhousing.org
Time is also running out for customers to enter a prize draw to launch the Trust’s incentive scheme, known as Choices.
Choices offers customers access to various incentives such as a decoration allowance, assisted gardening, cheaper content insurance and various draws throughout the year.
For the chance to win £250 complete the form in December’s edition of REACH and return to the Trust.
