Halton Housing Trust is clamping down on noisy neighbours as part of its work to tackle anti-social behaviour.
Noise nuisance makes up more than one-third of the complaints about anti-social behaviour that Halton Housing Trust receives.
The Trust has now joined forces with Halton Safer Partnership’s Community Safety Team to purchase noise monitoring equipment which will allow them to identify those causing the nuisance.
Noel Sharpe, Director of Customer Services, said: “Everyone should be able to live safely and peacefully in their own homes.
“At Halton Housing Trust we will do everything we can to make sure our customers feel secure and we are jointly able to tackle the small minority of people who do act anti-socially.”
The Trust, which recently gained the national HouseMark accreditation for its work tackling anti-social behaviour, also operates a helpline which is available 24 hours a day, every day, for customers to report such incidents.
It has also recently revamped its website including an option for customers to report anti-social behaviour online at www.haltonhousing.org
To report anti-social behaviour call 0800 074 3074 from a landline telephone, or 0303 333 0100 from a mobile.
