09/12/2011 - Grants available for youth/voluntarys organisations 
 
 

Halton Borough Council are pleased to invite voluntary and community youth organisations to apply for activity grants of up to £1000 for youth provisions throughout the Borough. The purpose of the Integrated Youth Support Fund is to enable young people aged 10-19 in Halton to have access to positive activities and events that facilitate diversionary, enjoyable and challenging experiences.

The Integrated Youth Support fund is made available through the Children’s Services Commissioning Department, Halton Borough Council.

Funding criteria:

• Young people or community groups must be involved in the consultation, planning and evaluation of the activity/event funded.
• Organisations and groups making applications for this fund hold responsibility for ensuring relevant risk-assessments, insurance and staffing arrangements are in place for all funded activities.
• Organisations and groups making applications for this fund hold responsibility for the Safeguarding of participating young people.
• Funding for specialist staff (artists, outdoor pursuits instructors etc) is acceptable; the Youth Activity Fund cannot be used to maintain regular staff.
• Applications demonstrating joint agency working will be particularly welcomed.
• Applications for activities that promote or encourage violence will not be funded.
• All funds must be spent as outlined in the Integrated Youth Support Fund application form.
• Organisations and groups must have a bank account and provide an invoice to claim any Integrated Youth Support funding awarded.
