TWO Runcorn housing associations have come together to spread some Christmas cheer.

Halton Housing Trust teamed up with English Churches Housing Group to hold a free Christmas bingo for their residents on Monday, December 7.

Around 50 people turned out for the event at Southlands Court, which is run by English Churches Housing Group, and tucked into mince pies as well as a glass of sherry. 

Free transport to the bingo was put on by Halton Housing Trust for their residents living at Brunswick House, in Water Street, and Queen’s Close.

Karen Olson, Scheme Manager for Halton Housing Trust, said:  “It was great to see all of our residents in festive spirits in the build up to Christmas.

“The bingo was very popular and everyone was having a good time.”
