Halton Housing Trust Chief Executive Nick Atkin and Housing Officer Daz Morland were among the 691 runners that ‘hopped to it’ on Easter Sunday morning in the annual 5 mile Halton Road Race.
With 691 entries, this year's annual Easter Sunday five-mile race from Runcorn Railway Station to Hale Park broke all previous records. Beautiful weather was an added bonus and encouraged even more runners than expected to turn out. Nick and Darren were running in support of Halton Haven Hospice, a charity supported by the Trust.
Nick finished 215th with a finish time of 39 minutes and 37 seconds. Daz was close behind finishing 303rd place with a time of 44 minutes and 2 seconds.
