Halton Housing Trust is delivering a massive investment of £129 million over 10 years to raise the quality of both the homes and the surrounding environment.
The borough’s social housing has never seen investment of this scale before – but it won’t happen on its own. We need our own customers ‘on Board’ to help make it real.
Halton Housing Trust has three vacancies on its Board of Management and is inviting applications from its customers to fill these posts. Customer Board members play a key role in making key decisions about the future direction of the Trust.
Nick Atkin, Chief Executive of Halton Housing Trust, said: “If you are a Halton Housing Trust customer, interested in housing, passionate about creating a better environment and want to get involved in some exciting developments that are transforming the area, the Trust would love to hear from you.
“We are looking for customers who feel they can make a positive contribution to the Trust’s development and who are able to make the time commitment, then we would like to hear from you. These posts are voluntary but extremely rewarding.”
Interested? For an informal chat about the posts, please contact Katie Hamlett, Halton Housing Trust’s Governance Officer, on 0151 510 5194 or email: Katie.hamlett@haltonhousing.org
Alternatively, customers are invited to attend drop-in events where they can talk to existing tenant Board members and find out more about the role. These drop-in events are being held on:
- Wednesday 4th July, 4:30pm – 6:30pm at Simms Cross Area Office, 120-124 Widnes Road, Widnes
- Monday 9th July, 4:30pm – 6:30pm at Runcorn Area Office, Grange House, 830 Grangeway, Runcorn
The closing date for applications is Monday 16th July 2007. Following this, a ballot will take place where every Tryst customer will be supplied with information about the candidates. They will then be given the opportunity to vote for the candidates they feel are most suitable for the posts.
Halton Housing Trust values equality and diversity and positively welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
