Halton girl Vicky Ryan has just handed over the 700th completed property in Widnes on behalf of Bramall Construction who are delivering a £17m investment programme in partnership with Halton Housing Trust.
Both Bramall Construction and Halton Housing Trust are committed to keeping the multi million pound investment within the local economy. That means employing local people, and using local suppliers and sub contractors wherever possible.
Barbara signs handover papers with Vicky
Vicky Ryan, Resident Liaison Officer joined Bramall after attending a local job fair which took place at Halton Stadium, Widnes. After undergoing extensive training, Vicky joined the team at Halton in February this year.
She said: "I love working for Bramall and enjoy meeting people. Everyday is different, and it's really great to be involved with the housing improvement works taking place in my hometown, Widnes. Halton Housing, the site team and residents have all been really supportive."
Barbara Morris lives in the 700th property to benefit from the Halton Housing Trust improvement programme, which included full kitchen and bathroom renewal, partial electrics and new boiler.
Barbara, who is 75 years old, and lives in Arley Drive said: "Vicky has been really helpful throughout the works, nothing has been too much trouble. It's fantastic the work that has been done and the Bramall team were very good at cleaning up after themselves."
Nick Atkin, Chief Executive of Halton Housing Trust, said: "Bramall is one of three of our construction partners. The 700th handover is a clear indication of the scale of the improvements already delivered within our customers' homes.
