Widnes Vikings player Paul Noone attended a community fun day for youngsters on the Kingsway housing estate in Widnes on Saturday 31st May.

Jointly funded and organised by Halton Housing Trust, Halton Borough Council and the Kingsway Tenants’ and Residents’ Association local people gathered on the field bordering Wavertree Avenue for a day of fun and games.

The aim of the day was to provide a cross section of free activities for local children. Youngsters were able to participate in a number of activities including face-painting, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle, games and find out more about community-based project the Kingsway Bike Club.

Trust partners also supported the event with Connaught donating £500 and providing bottles of water and Groundwork Mersey Valley assisted 50 local residents to make hanging baskets to brighten up their gardens.
