19/06/2008 - Help Trust shape the future – get on Board!

Customer Board Member vacancies at Halton Housing Trust

HALTON Housing Trust is delivering a massive investment of £129 million over 10 years to raise the quality of both the homes and the surrounding environment.

The borough’s housing has never seen investment of this scale before – but it won’t happen on its own. We need our own customers ‘on Board’ to help make it real.  Customers have played a crucial role in the success of the organisation to date and will be even more important as the Trust heads towards a bright and exciting future.

Halton Housing Trust has three vacancies on its Board of Management and is inviting applications from its customers to fill these posts. Customer Board Members play a key role in making decisions about the future direction of the Trust.

Nick Atkin, Chief Executive of Halton Housing Trust, said: “If you are a Halton Housing Trust customer, interested in housing, passionate about creating a better environment and want to get involved in some exciting developments that are transforming the area, the Trust would love to hear from you.  A full training and development package is offered to every Board Member which is tailored to suit their specific needs and interests.

“We are looking for customers who feel they can make a positive contribution to the Trust’s development and who are able to make the time commitment.  If this is you then we would like to hear from you. These posts are voluntary but extremely rewarding.”

Interested? For an informal chat about the posts, please contact Claire Nedugodan, Halton Housing Trust’s Governance Officer, on 0151 510 5194 or email: claire.nedugodan@haltonhousing.org

Alternatively, customers are invited to attend drop-in events where they can talk to existing Customer Board Members and find out more about the role. These drop-in events are being held at:

Halton Housing Trust values equality and diversity and positively welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
