Halton Housing Trust pulled a cracker of a Christmas and spread a little festive cheer with a series of parties at its sheltered housing schemes in Widnes and Runcorn.

Christmas cheer for sheltered housing customers

Scheme Manager Jean Price (centre) gets into the festive spirit with customers at Quarry Court sheltered housing scheme in Widnes. Residents and their families were entertained by local Irish music band The Sundowners and enjoyed a mince pie or two.

Band member Steve Dunbar works for the Trust’s Construction Services as a joiner.

Christmas parties were also held at the Trust’s schemes at Queens Close and Brunswick House during December. The Trust made a generous donation to each party and customers, along with their scheme manager, decided what they wanted to do. At Queen’s Close kind hearted party goers put their hands in their pockets and raised £50 for the National Autistic Society.

Nick Atkin, Chief Executive of Halton Housing Trust, said: “We’re delighted to provide a festive treat at Christmas time for our sheltered housing customers. The Trust not only aims to provide good quality housing for these customers, but also an enjoyable place to live with a positive social life and range of activities.”
