Home visits offer advice on affordable warmth

RESIDENTS in Runcorn and Widnes are being offered free advice on how to save money while heating their homes this winter.

Halton Housing Trust is offering free home visits to its customers to advise on cheaper gas and electricity tariffs and energy saving tips.

Debbie Jameson, Customer Involvement Officer for Halton Housing Trust, said: “Winter can be an extremely difficult time for many people so the aim of these visits is to give our customers as much advice as possible on how to cope with their bills while making sure they remain warm and comfortable at all times.”

Appointments for the home visits are available on the following dates:

• October 10th
• October 24th
• November 7th
• November 21st

Demand is expected to be high so the Trust is asking customers to book their visits as soon as possible.

All customers who request a visit will be given a free goody bag and will be entered into a free prize draw for £250 worth of shopping vouchers.
