Customers of Halton Housing Trust can now pay rent online or by text.
The Trust has introduced a new system to make paying their rent easier than ever for its customers in Widnes and Runcorn.
“We wanted to help our customers by giving them more ways to pay their rent,” said Neil Higham, Assistant Director - ICT for Halton Housing Trust.
“We are always looking at ways to improve our services and this will give customers even more flexibility and is available 24 hours a day.”
Customers can still pay their rent by direct debit, standing order, cash, cheque, phone, PayPoint outlets and Halton Direct Link offices.
However, the new system will also allow customers to pay through the Trust’s website using their debit card.
They will also be able to register their mobile and pay by sending a text message.
