HALTON Housing Trust is offering its customers the chance to have a greater say in how the the organisation is run.
Throughout May all customers will have the opportunity to be nominated to stand as a Board Member.
“Any customer interested in standing for election must be nominated by two other Trust customers,” said Noel Sharpe, Director of Customer Services.
“It is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to become more involved in their community to stand up and be counted.”
Postcards have been sent to all customers informing them about the election and how they can find out more about applying.
All nominees are required to attend a Board Meeting and a meeting with the Nominations Committee, made up of three Board Members.
The Committee will decide which nominees can progress to the election, based on suitability for the role and core competencies.
In June, each customer will receive a ballot paper with election statements from the candidates. There will be a three-week period for customers to return their votes.
Successful candidates will be appointed to the Board at the AGM in September.
The closing date for anyone interested in standing is Friday, May 27.
