The latest weather forecast is for snow up to and over Christmas.
You can keep yourself safe and well by making some basic preparations:
• Stock up on basics - longlife milk, food that you can heat up easily, matches if you need to light a fire or gas cooker;
• Think about any medication that you need to take and plan to have enough in
• Make sure to keep your home warm enough;
• Speak to relatives, friends or neighbours and ask them to check up on you, if the weather turns bad; and
• If it gets icy, don't go out unless absolutely necessary.
If you haven’t already, you should think about getting a flu jab from your GP, or making sure you are getting all your welfare benefits on 0151 471 7448.
Alternatively, if you feel you need help and support during this period for emergency shopping or collecting prescriptions etc, you can contact Adult Social Care on 0151 906 8306 for assistance.
