Did you know that 39 times  every year you can join us, our Board Members, Management Team, local councillors, representatives from the Police Force  and other local organisations for a ‘walkabout’ around your estates?

What are ‘walkabouts’?

‘Walkabouts’ are an ideal opportunity to discuss any concerns or issues about your local neighbourhood directly with the teams tasked with improving your local area.

They enable our customers to monitor our performance in keeping the local areas clean, safe and trouble free and highlight the improvements that still need to be made.

Every area has its own different needs and the walkabouts allow us all to get a full picture of the standards of work being carried out, and the challenges faced on the estates.

But it’s not always bad news – quite often we all see great initiatives and ideas which we can share across our neighbourhoods.

So what happens at the end of the walkabout?

We have a set of agreed standards for all estates, agreed with a cross section of our customers and local councillors. After each walkabout we use our findings, your views and observations to score the estate against these standards and create improvement plans where they are needed.

How do I get involved?

If you would like to join us on our next walkabout in your area, know a little more or raise any concerns then please contact your local housing office.
