Here are two groups, among many, that we have helped during the last two years:

H.E.A.R.T.S Theatre School

H.E.A.R.T.S is a local theatre group based in Upton Community Centre in Widnes. Each year they perform a pantomime produced by local youngsters and adults to showcase the talents of all involved. The group were awarded £2220 to produce a Christmas pantomime event at Upton Community Centre.

A spokesperson for H.E.A.R.T.S said:

"May I once again thank you and all your team for the extremely generous gift to our production. The difference that this kind of support makes to an organisation such as ours is in-measureable in monetary values, but very gratefully received"

 Victoria Music Group

Victoria Music Group is a voluntary group based at Victoria School in Runcorn. The group was awarded £2700 to fund a six week programme of vocal training and equipment to produce a CD of their final performance.

A spokesperson for Victoria Music Group said:

"The summer project at the Grange Community Centre was always going to prove difficult from a financial point of view giving me some sleepless nights but not anymore. Halton Housing Trust through their Community Sponsorship Fund has agreed to cover the cost of the project for us. Whilst I am extremely grateful for the funding, I am more grateful for the support - the fact that someone has recognised the importance of what we are trying to achieve is worth more than just the money itself."

"I would like not only to thank them, but also to thank Colette Ranson at the trust for her help with the application forms and her overall support. We can now afford to do a compilation CD through the summer for everyone taking part. It is going to be fun so if you haven't registered an interest yet, I would hurry because places are very limited."
