As well as ensuring our homes are safe and secure, we play an active part in our local communities - ensuring our estates and neighbourhoods are places we’re proud to live in, improving our services, local facilities, creating new opportunities to work closely with us and supporting local groups and organisations.
Beyond the Garden Gate
Beyond the Garden Gate is a community investment programme that listens to your views and opinion on how to make your neighbourhood a better place to live.
The programme, where the local communities of Widnes and Runcorn will shape how £40 million of improvements are invested over the next five years, is how now well underway following a successful pilot in West Bank.
The programme is moving to Ditton. Residents of Ditton will soon see information in the area on how to get involved.
Improving the Community Beyond the Garden Gate
Our boundary fencing / external improvement programme has started, by 2015 we are investing £6.7million to improving the fencing and external environment, prioritising the estates with the greatest need. If you’d like further information about the boundary and fencing programme please see our Environmental Improvement Programme page.
Working in the Community
There are many ways to get involved and make a real difference to the services we provide now and in the future. Forming your own Tenant & Resident Association is just one of the ways. For more information about the practical and financial support we can provide, see our Tenant & Resident Association page.
Supporting the Community
We, and our partners, offer advice and financial assistance to local groups and organisations – organisations who themselves make a fantastic contribution to various sections of the community.
