Background of the Boundary Improvement Programme
Following consultation with our customers, a detailed analysis of the condition of the boundaries, fencing and open spaces across our 14 neighbourhoods took place over a period of 18months from January 2008 until July 2009.
This detailed analysis revealed that we had over 47 miles of boundaries, with a range of defects, ranging from missing fence boards to severely vandalised or deteriorated boundary perimeters.
The Boundary Improvement Programme commenced on site in November 2009 until 2015. We will be investing £6.7million on improving the boundaries and the external environment, prioritising the neighbourhoods with the greatest need.
Below are a series of photographs of before and after images of some of the areas that we have already visited and replaced the fencing. This shows how much tidier the neighbourhood looks following the work that we have undertaken.
