Our responsibility

We are legally responsible for servicing any gas appliances owned and installed by us in your home every 12 months. At the end of the service we must issue you with a copy of the latest safety check record, called a ‘CP12’.

The annual check is really important and is completed on our behalf by qualified Gas Safe RegisterTM engineers employed by Sure Maintenance.

Sure Maintenance will contact you to arrange to service your appliance. Please make every effort to be at home when they call. If for any reason you cannot keep your appointment, please contact them on 0151 494 5800 and they can rearrange it to a time that suits you.

Your responsibility

If you consistently refuse access to your home to complete the servicing you are breaching your tenancy agreement and we can and will take legal action to gain access and/or possession of your home. Any legal costs incurred will be your responsibility. Please do your best to co operate and help us run this aspect of our service more efficiently.

Gas Leaks

If you smell gas you should do the following immediately:

1. Open all windows and doors.

2. Don’t use any electrical appliances or switches, including turning lights on and off.

3. Turn off the gas supply at the meter control valve (next to your gas meter)

4. Contact the National Gas Emergency Service, free of charge, on 0800 111 999.

If you are in any doubt about the safety of any gas equipment it should be turned off and not used until checked.

Stay safe

·         Never cover an appliance or block the convection air vents.

·         Never block or obstruct any fixed ventilation grilles or air bricks.
