Most customer have a legal right to swap their home but you must first get our approval.
You may not be able to swap your home if:

The home you want to move to is much larger than you need.

The swap would cause overcrowding.

The landlord is taking legal action against one of the people wishing to swap.
If you have found someone you wish to exchange with both parties need to complete a Mutual Exchange application form that needs to be handed/posted in to your local housing office’
If you wish to register for an exchange you need to complete a Mutual Exchange Registration Card. This card will be displayed in the Mutual Exchange folder in your local Area Housing Offices. You can obtain a card by visiting or calling in to one of the local Area Housing Offices.
