We are committed to providing quality homes, quality services and quality communities for all of our customers.

Work is well underway on a 10 year, £129 million improvement programme for our homes and neighbourhoods. This major investment will make a real difference to our customers' lives.

In our first four years we have invested £85 million improving our homes, making them warmer, safer and more secure – and delivered the programme 14 months ahead of our target, installing:

·       4,000 Kitchens

·       3,000 Bathrooms

·       2,500 Boilers

·       27,000 Double Glazed Windows

·       Loft insulation to 5,000 homes

We have also made sure that all homes that need it have central heating.

We will shortly be starting our next programme investing £44 million, between April 2011 to March 2016, to complete:

·       1,000 Kitchen replacements

·       1,000 Bathrooms replacements

·       1,500 Boiler replacements

·       1,200 Electrical rewires

A number of improvement programmes have already started or are due to start very soon including:

·       The Environmental Improvement Programme: This boundary replacement scheme started in November 2009 for all properties based on 26 housing estates.  £1.2 million will be spent by the end of March 2010 with an annual spend of £1.6 million each subsequent year.

·       £½ million re-roofing to 140 properties (commenced in November 2009).

·       £¼ million remodelling of Bancroft road shops (commenced in December 2009).

·       A major refurbishment scheme worth £2 million (commencing in January 2010) to 39 properties including external walls, new kitchens, bathrooms, electrical work, boilers and central heating.

We are committed to keeping our customers involved throughout the programme and will keep you informed about any changes to the programme.
