Halton Housing Trust has completed the purchase of 171 homes in Runcorn from Cosmopolitan Housing Association (CHA).
CHA has a number of properties in the area and were keen to rationalise their stock. As one of the landlords with a strong presence in the borough CHA and the Trust began discussions about a transfer last summer. The sale completed on Monday 18th March.
The customers living in the171 homes in Ellesmere Street and Halton Lodge, Runcorn received a welcome pack prior to the completion. The pack included recent publications and a customer handbook as well as an introductory letter from Nick Atkin.
Nick Atkin, Chief Executive at the Trust said: “We are delighted that the sale has completed and want to thank those that have been involved from CHA, the Trust, HBC and the HCA for helping the process go smoothly. I want to personally welcome the new customers to the Trust and encourage them to get involved, offer us feedback and contact us with any questions they may have.”
John Denny, Cosmopolitan Housing Group Chief Executive said “We are delighted to work in partnership with Halton Housing Trust, which has given an opportunity to improve services for these customers. Thanks to all who made this happen.”
