Halton Housing will recognise involved customer’s achievements with awards

Halton Housing have announced that they will be awarding three of their Involved Customers with awards recognising their work and contribution to the community.

Halton Housing announced that Ann Macfarlane will be presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award for her work as Chair of Halton Housing’s Customer Forum, and the numerous other volunteer activities Anne has worked on for Halton Housing over the years. Ann is being recognised for working with Halton Housing as an involved customer for over 12 years, and an additional 4 years before the transfer of housing stock from Halton Borough Council to Halton Housing. Halton Housing have identified the Outstanding Achievement Award as:

‘…recognising an involved customer who has contributed above and beyond what is expected of them. This award recognises individuals who ensure Halton Housing customers’ voices are heard, who is able to support, guide and empower other customers to enable them to speak honestly and openly about their views of the services Halton Housing provide.’

Halton Housing will also be awarding Keith Murphy and June Black with a Recognition Award for their contributions as Involved Customers over recent years. Keith has been part of Halton Housing’s Customer Inspectors Panel, Community Voice, Editorial Panel and the Customer Forum. June is being recognised for her work with the Kingsway Tenants and Residents Group, Editorial Panel, Community Voice and the Halton Housing Customer Forum.

Halton Housing have identified the Recognition Award as:

‘…an award which recognises customers who have worked alongside Halton Housing for several years, not only giving their personal time and commitment, but playing a key role in ensuring that the customers view is taken in to consideration.’

Ann will be awarded with £100 worth vouches and a framed certificate. June and Keith will be awarded with £50 worth of vouchers and a framed certificate.  The winners of these Customer Awards will receive their winnings at Halton Housing’s next General Annual Meeting on September 27th at their head office, Waterfront Point.

Debbie Jameson, Halton Housing’s Customer Engagement Officer said:

“We here at Halton Housing are so proud to have some fantastic engaged customers, a number of whom have worked alongside us for many years.  As all of our involved customers live in Halton Housing properties, these are the people who help ensure that the customer’s voice is heard within this organisation. We wanted to honour the hard work and time that our involved customers put in and have therefore decided that from this year going forward, we will give out annual awards to show our appreciation. Our Involved Customers are a great crowd that keep us on our toes, but we would be lost without them.”
