Bower Brook Gardens Phase 2 is the second stage of Halton Housing’s popular Tan House Lane development in Widnes. The first phase of the development, which was completed in summer 2018 comprised of Shared Ownership, affordable rent and properties for market sale through Halton Housing’s build partner, Russell Homes.
Bower Brook Gardens Phase 2 will provide 69 homes for sale in the Halton View area of Widnes. The homes available are 2 and 3 bedroom semi-detached properties. The homes available on this development will be managed by Open Door, Halton Housing’s commercial subsidiary. There will be 38 homes for sale, 16 homes for Shared Ownership and 15 homes available on a Rent to Buy basis.
Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy are affordable home ownership schemes which are targeted towards helping first time buyers get onto the property ladder.
Open Door have now listed the properties for sale on Bower Gardens Phase 2 on their website.
Open Door have also now begun taking expressions of interest on the homes for sale at Bower Brook Gardens Phase 2.
Bower Brook Gardens Phase 2 is the second phase of the hugely popular Bower Brook Gardens development on Tan House Lane, located adjacent to the Halton Housing and Open Door head office, Waterfront Point.

Open Door and Halton Housing have built over recent years, in Partnership with Russells Construction, Savills and PDW, 175 new build homes in this area. This batch of new build homes will provide a further 118 homes to this formally derelict area. Last year Halton Housing commissioned a play area to be built in the heart of this large new build development, helping to create a sense of community within this large scheme.

Halton Housing have successfully acquired a plot of land on Picow Farm Road, Runcorn to allow them to create a £9.8 million housing development, Tannery Fields. The development will comprise of 71 brand new-homes, which will be a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes and bungalows. On this plot of land Halton Housing plan to create 30 homes for affordable rent, and their commercial subsidiary, Open Door will create homes for outright sale, Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy homes.
Tannery Fields is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2020.
Shared Ownership apartments at The Old Forge are conveniently located on Ship Street, just off the high street in Frodsham.

Works started on site at Montgomery Road in early February. The development comprises of eight new properties, six two-bedroom houses and two three bedroom houses, and will all be available for affordable rent.
Following the recent successful build of Grange House, Halton Housing will again be building the homes using innovative construction techniques, materials and methods. This includes: sustainable, low carbon, closed timber frame panel homes using “off site” construction techniques, alternative approaches to the foundations and the use of maintenance free roof coverings and rainwater fittings.
The new build development is due to be completed in December 2018.
The Bower Brook Gardens Phase 2 development will provide the Tan House Lane area with homes for affordable rent and homes which will be managed by Halton Housing’s commercial subsidiary, Open Door. Open Door are offering homes for Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy and outright sale on this scheme. The remaining homes will be sold by Russell Homes, the building contractor employed on this development.
Work on the development is now underway, with the first properties due for completion in summer 2019. As part of a 3.5 year construction programme, these homes will be completed in phases.
Waterfront View, located in the heart of Widnes, is a development of ten 3 bedroom semi-detached homes.
These attractive and spacious homes, provide comfortable living spaces, three well-proportioned bedrooms, a generous garden, and designated parking spaces. Each home offers an open plan kitchen-diner, with a fully fitted kitchen. The luxury bathroom, en-suite to the master bedroom and downstairs W/C are fully tiled and have heated handrails.

The Tan House Lane development was completed in stages up until late 2017. The first 16 homes were completed in October 2016.
Partnering with Russell Homes, Tan House Lane is Halton Housing’s most ambitious development to date, aiming to transform derelict land into a thriving community. A mixture of one, two, three and four bedroom apartments and houses are on offer, designed to appeal to a wide range of customers.
Work started in December 2016 on the transformation of Victoria House, the former cottage hospital in Runcorn.
The £2.9 million project, which was grant funded by the HCA (Homes and Communities Agency), will see the creation of 28 new homes on the site on Holloway, and will involve the selective demolition and conversion of the existing building with complimentary new build.
Working with John McCall Architects, Bardsley Construction, Aecom and the Alan Johnson Partnership. This scheme was completed April 2018.
Built on a former junior school site in Runcorn, the Latham Avenue development comprises of a mixed tenure of 95 homes; 83 homes for affordable rent and 12 homes for private sale by Seddon Homes, the scheme builder’s sister company.
Latham Avenue was completed on the 12th November 2017 to a high specification and has been extremely popular with local residents.
Located in the Grangeway area, Runcorn the Pine Road development comprises of a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments, two and three bedroom houses and three bungalows, all for affordable rent.
Pine Road was completed on the 15th November, 2017 and is a £3.8 million development creating modern affordable housing stock in Runcorn. In total, there are 42 homes which make up this development.
