Colleagues at Halton Housing are celebrating after successfully completing a range of Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) qualifications.
Eight colleagues completed level 3 CIH qualifications in Housing/Property Management following hard work and dedication over the past 18 months.
The CIH is the professional body for the housing sector. A registered charity with a Royal Charter, the Institute provides opportunities for learning and improving, and champions housing in order to influence and improve housing policy and practice.
Studying for a CIH qualification ensures colleagues are competent housing professionals and equips them the with the key skills and expert knowledge to help drive improvement, add value and ensure the best possible experience and service is delivered to customers.
Halton Housing utilised the government’s apprenticeship levy to upskill the eight colleagues.
Commenting on her achievement, Hannah Ireland, customer engagement assistant said: “I’m really proud to have completed a CIH qualification. The course was interesting and it’s a big step forward for me in building the skills I need to continue with my development. Halton Housing has always been very supportive in giving me opportunities to learn and train, and take on new challenges, so I’m looking forward to taking the next steps in my career.”
Kathryn Davies, learning and development officer at Halton Housing said: “We are immensely proud of what these eight members have achieved. Understanding the importance of ongoing professional development for our colleagues and the benefits that brings for the individual, the business and the customer in both the short and long term is the reason Halton Housing is committed to offering our employees the best possible training and personal development opportunities.”
Halton Housing also has a number of colleagues completing CIH level 4 who are on course to complete in 2020.
