The Unlocking Success Bursary Scheme is run by the Northern Housing Consortium (a membership body of housing associations and local authorities) and is available to anyone over 16, living in social landlord housing.
The scheme will award bursaries of up £500 to help you develop your learning and skills (at any level) to support your future employment. The bursary covers a study period of up to a year and can be used to support you with the cost of the learning itself, or if you are already involved in an area of learning it can help to fund books, equipment, travel costs, childcare or other living costs that will help you to complete a period of learning.

You can apply to the bursary scheme via the Customer Engagement Team here at Halton Housing. There is a basic form to complete, and once we have validated your tenant status, you must supply a short paragraph (or video clip) explaining how the bursary will benefit and support your learning.
If you are successful, we will ask you for another short video clip (which can be created using a smart phone) or report to demonstrate how you have benefitted from the bursary. This may be used this as part of the promotion of the Unlocking Success Bursary Scheme.
