Our Homes Team has started to take delivery of a refreshed new van fleet.
The first phase of the new fleet of Ford Transit vans have started to hit the road with delivery expected to be complete by mid-August for the standard vans.
Our old fleet of vans reached the end of their life cycle and we have taken the opportunity to consult with colleagues and to procure vehicles that we believe are more ergonomic, economically viable and more environmentally friendly than their predecessors.
The new additions to the fleet have been equipped with the appropriate racking, boosting flexibility and performance, while also featuring refreshed livery, including our corporate vision of Improving People’s Lives.
The vans will be fitted with the Shell telematics system ensuring that our colleagues are driving safely and considerately.
The new fleet will provide a welcome boost to customers and colleagues alike. In addition to being high-spec, the new vans will help to facilitate productivity by ensuring maximum driver comfort and safety.
We’ve also made some improvements to van stocks, allowing us to complete more repairs right first time and improve customer experience and performance.
The fleet was procured via the national Halton Housing fleet framework, which other housing associations and contracting authorities can access. The framework provides income back into the business to re-invest into our services to improve people’s lives.
