Blocked Sink?

  1. The first step to take when your sink or drain seems to be struggling to drain water is to check there is nothing clogging the hole, for example, hair, bits of plastic or anything that might have fallen in to the sink can cause a blockage. Try pulling any of these objects out of the drain to see if this clears the problem – sometimes the simplest methods do the trick!
  2. Once you have checked the plug hole for an obvious blockage, and removed anything clearly obstructing the draining of water (hair etc.) try using a sink or drain unblocking fluid. Sink or drain unblocking fluid can be purchased from any local store or supermarket, but if you can’t manage to find this, bleach should help to clear blockages too.
  3. If your sink or drain is still blocked after you have tried the sink and drain unblocker, try plunging the plug hole with a plunger
