Major Adaptations
Once we receive a referral from the Occupational Therapist, and if the adaptations are in line with our policy, we may need to carry out a feasibility visit before any work is started.
There is a high demand for major adaptations, and we will contact you every six months to keep you posted on the progression of your referral.
Once we’ve completed all our assessments, and as soon as funding is available, we will arrange an appointment for the work to be carried out.
Equipment
You may need further equipment to use your new adaptation and the Occupational Therapist will arrange this for you. You can arrange this by contacting Halton Borough Council by calling 0303 333 4300.
Minor Adaptations
Once you have contacted us to request a minor adaptation to your home we will review your application. In some cases, our Construction Services Team or a Housing Options Gateway Advisor may need to visit you in your home to see exactly what work needs to be carried out. Appointments will always be made in advance, at a mutually convenient time.
We aim to complete all minor adaptations within 25 days, dependant on the type of adaptation required.
If you have recently had a change in your circumstances and require adaptations to be made to your home for your safety, get in touch with our Customer Services team via Live Chat.
